Fujifilm made some recent announcements of note for users of their GFX and X-series products, including the launch of the Fujifilm Pro Services program, as well as a couple of accessories—the EF-60 Shoe Mount Flash and the EF-W1 Wireless Commander.
Fujifilm Launches Professional Services Program
This new program for pro photographers and videographers owning at least $3,000 worth of GFX or X-series products provides a range of support services and discounts. These include dedicated telephone and email support, a 1-year extended warranty on any new gear purchased and registered in a qualifying membership year, and two free check and cleans. The latter applies to one covered camera and one covered lens each time. After that, members receive a 50-percent discount on additional check and cleans and 30 percent off of expedited repairs. Generally, there’s a two-business day turnaround, although there are some exceptions, so make sure to check the company’s site. Repair loaners are also available. You can even schedule repairs and check and clean services online. Additionally, you can access personalized information and product history on a dedicated page.
As mentioned, to qualify you need to own at least $3,000 worth of GFX or X-series products. Annual membership costs $399 a year but Fujifilm is offering an introductory price of $199 if you purchase an annual membership by September 30, 2020.

Fujifilm Introduces New EF-60 Shoe Mount Flash and EF-W1 Wireless Commander
GFX System and X Series users have two more accessories to add to their kits—the EF-60 Shoe Mount Flash and the EF-W1 Wireless Commander.
The EF-60 Shoe Mount Flash marks the company’s first radio-controlled wireless shoe mount flash. This compact flash offers a zoom range of 24mm-200mm and a maximum guide number of 60 at 200mm. Color temperature is approximate 5300K (at full flash). TTL and manual control are available, among other features such as high-speed sync. The EF-60 is compatible with certain Nissin Air System (NAS) compatible flashes. Powered by four AA batteries the EF-60 can fire up to approximately 3000 times. The EF-60 bundle includes a dedicated diffuser, a min-stand and a carry pouch.
The new EF-W1 Wireless Commander can be used to trigger the EF-60 and can remotely operate the EF-60 including adjusting the flash’s power output in 1/3 increment. Using radio controlled 2.4 GHz wireless communications, the EF-W1 can control up to 30 EF-60 flashes. And it’s also compatible with certain NAS compatible flashes.
Both accessories will be available in late August; $400 (EF-60) and $200
(EF-W1). Visit fujifilm-x.com/support/compatibility/accessories for a list of compatible cameras.
